Prompted by the recent discussion of the BSMD energy I looked at some histograms for hits from 2005 data. Currently I don't have individual strip energies, I only have SMD clusters saved. I tried to get single strip histos by selecting single strip clusters, but the energy reach is not sufficient. Also, the single strip requirement biases towards low energy clusters. Some plots are below. I can try to come up with more information if needed, but that might take a while. Bottom line is: For 2005 data I don't really see a problem, but that is no guarantee that it is not there. The bump ~4.5 GeV or so is due to the trigger, no cuts on triggers are made in the plots.
