Abstract:
We report the first measurement of semi-inclusive π0+jet azimuthal decorrelation in p+p at = 200 GeV with 24 pb-1 integrated luminosity using the STAR detectors. The azimuthal (de)correlation between π0 and recoil jets are measured with trigger transverse energy (E_{T}^{trig}) ranges between 9 < E_{T}^{trig} < 11 GeV/c and 11 < E_{T}^{trig} < 15 GeV/c. The recoil jets are reconstructed using the anti-kT algorithm with jet radii 0.2 and 0.5. The data are compared with the PYTHIA8 Monash tune and Sudakov resummation calculation. These measurements put constraints on the QCD calculation and also set a baseline for cold and hot QCD medium effect in heavy-ion collisions at RHIC energies.

Summary and Outlooks:
We report the semi-inclusive π0+jet ∆φ angular correlations measurement for jet R=0.2 and 0.5 within two trigger ranges (9-11 and 11-15 GeV).
- The data are compared with PYTHIA-8 Monash and Sudakov resummation calculations.
- PYTHIA-8 Monash is consistent with the data within uncertainties.
- Sudakov resummation calculations are only available between 3.14-2.5 rad ∆φ range. This calculation is consistent only for high , i.e, 10 < ETtrig < 15 GeV/c and 15 < ETtrig < 10 GeV/c, within uncertainties. This is also true for two jet radii (except 9 < ETtrig < 11 GeV and R=0.2 case).
- These measurements put a constrain on the QCD calculation for jet acoplanarity measurement in heavy-ion collisions at RHIC energy.
- Upcoming STAR measurements of γ+jet and π0+jet acoplanarity measurements in pp collisions and their comparisons can provide important information on the QCD resummation at RHIC energy (relatively lower range compared with the previous measurements at the LHC and Tevatron) and also provide crucial baseline information for the cold and hot-dense QCD medium effect.
