1) Tracking uncertainty task force update 
2) Systematic uncertainties in BES-II 
  • Data embedding mismatch - Can we have a presentation from LFSUPC (or other PWGs) compiling the embedding performance?
  • Task force to improve the embedding performance and improve uncertainties?
3) Data production priorities
  • Current Priorities: (RHICf) > BES-II Reproduction with SL23 for Run19 19.6 COL, Run19 4.59 FXT (3.2) > 200 GeV d+Au > 17.3 COL > Remaining BES-II Reproduction that had used SL21,SL22 > 3.85 FXT I (3.0) > 3.85 FXT II (3.0) > (Run20+21) 26.5 FXT (7.2) > 44.5 FXT (9.2) > 70 FXT (11.5) > 100 FXT (13.7) 
  • Currently running P23id Run 19 AuAu 19.6 GeV st_physics re-production with updated TPC dE/dx 
  • Calibration status: d+Au - TPC SpaceCharge work should be wrapping up [  in progress  ]; BTOF, ETOF await large calibration production after TPC calibration work 
  • Can ask to move the priority for Au+Au 17.3 ahead of d+Au (?)
4) QM 2023

1) BUR 24-25 discussion
  • BUR-21 has two scenarios - a) 20 cryo weeks each, and b) 28 cryo weeks each for Run-23 and 25 
  • Assumed proportional loss in the case of 'a' for both MB and triggered data taking
  • Would that scenario be good for BUR 24-25 projections?
  • Impact on MB, HP and UPC physics? SLIDES, BUR-21
2)  ROOT6 migration 
  • PWG helpers?
  • Which dataset(s) need to be produced for testing? Run16 Au+Au 200 GeV? Run 20 200 GeV? For cold QCD?
3) Luminosity calibration uncertainties
  • Can't rely on C-AD alone to get the uncertainties, some one from STAR has to work with the C-AD 
  • Either one of the PAs from the analysis or can have a designated person or group for the dataset - like the centrality calibrations and QA
  • During data taking for p+p someone from the cold QCD group monitors the luminosity and polarization (?) If so, can that information be documented and transferred to the luminosity calibration effort?

  • QA variable list for BES-II from PWGs - LIST

2) BUR 24-25 
  • Projections for Au+Au might need to be updated 
  • 20 cryo weeks for Run23; 24 or 28 cryo weeks for Run25
  • In last BUR - 56 cryo weeks, 48 physics weeks
    • 19 weeks of MB data taking at DAQ rate of 5 kHz -> 20B 
    • 29 weeks of rare trigger taking at ZDC rate of 100 kHz -> 40 nb^-1
  • Split between MB and triggered for new projections?

1)  Systematic uncertainty for luminosity calibration 
  • Concern raised by Wlodek on systematic uncertainty evaluation of luminosity calibration for STAR analyses (SLIDES from Wlodek)
  • Suggestion to request C-AD to provide luminosity calibration 
2) BES-II Workshop
  • Planned for end of June, focussing on select BES-II analyses
  • Let Shinichi know of your preferences, suggestions 
3) ROOT6 migration 
  • Physics validation of ROOT6 migration required
  • PWGs please identify analyzers who can help with the validation, dataset/analysis to validate with. Would be good to converge on one or two datasets from all the PWGs
  • PWGs need to sign off on the validation
  • Checks and validation discussion be carried out through the QA meetings
