Instant run-off is a bit hard to describe so, but it is essentially similar to borda voting as one ranks choices but the winner must have more than 1/2 of the votes i.e. the lowest counts is eliminated as it geliminated and the new score estimated. This means the top winner may fluctuate as more votes come in.
