Abstract | : | Arguments are given by the author as to why the XTPC's should be made a part of the STAR Baseline. In Hadron physics historically wide rapidity or psuedorapidity coverage has been required to unravel and establish the complex theoretically uncalculable phenomena in complex interactions such as would occur at RHIC. In the e+e- colliders the theory is well enough known and calculable that holes in coverage may be tolerated. Examples from E-810 which has wide rapidity coverage are given. The conclusion is that it is ill advised not to include the XTPC's as part of the RHIC Baseline as soon as possible |
