Update 01.21.2019 -- Run 9 pp: adjusting response for Pythia8

The question now becomes: why? As a check, the plots below compare our Pythia8 spectrum with some adjustments. One turns off the pT smearing on the Pythia8 spectrum, and the other adjusts the efficiency (pushing it up a few %).

Turning off the smearing does nothing to help (which is expected since this is such a small effect), but it also looks like a higher efficiency doesn't help... This could be due to the shape of the tracking efficiency rather than the overall level... The tracking efficiency I've been using can be found here:

However, since the efficiency is the one (and presumably only) effect that really affects the detector-level Pythia8 spectrum, it's our best line of inquiry...
