GridCollector

• The GridCollector client is

  • Based on “tags” : arbitrary event quantities extracted at runtime
  • Based on information from our File/Replica Catalog
  • Brings files over from remote sites if not present
  • Manages local disk space dynamically
  • Easy use: SELECT [MuDst|event|…] WHERE SumOfPt > 10 AND chargedMultiplicity > 300 AND…
  • Speed up the analysis if only “some” events are accessed / read – example for 62 GeV data
